Integrity in science

  1. Without honesty science will fail.
  2. Design your experiments as thoroughly as possible, taking particular care over the controls.
  3. Resist pressure to overlook or ignore awkward data.
  4. Be the first to admit errors or mistakes.
  5. Don’t see things which aren’t there because of the ‘eye of faith’.
  6. Honesty and transparency will highlight your qualities as a good scientist.
